Early Career Researcher Bursary Awards
The network is delighted to launch another round of the Early Career Researcher (ECR) Training Bursary Scheme, which aims to support junior researchers to attend training courses, research placements at institutions other than their own, and conferences. Applicants will be assessed on their funding needs as well as their case for support. The maximum bursary value is £250.

Arts Funding Competition (now closed)
VAMHN is delighted to announce its Arts Funding Competition. The focus is on collaborations that will engage the wider public around violence, abuse and mental health. The network is looking for innovative artistic projects which inspire discussion around violence, abuse, and mental health. They are especially keen for the involvement of people with lived experience.
Application deadline: 4th March 2022 at 5 pm.
Awards of up to £15k are available.

Small Grant Call 2021: Interventions
The third VAMHN Grant Competition on the theme of interventions is now open! Grants are available up to a maximum of £25,000 and can be used to deliver a targeted piece of research or to pump-prime larger projects

Small Grant Call 2020: Understanding
VAMHN’s Small Grants Call of 2020 is now closed. Grants of up to £25K were available for VAMHN’s small grant call on the theme of understanding violence, abuse and mental health. Projects were welcomed addressing key questions within the understanding theme.
(1) What are common sources of harm in the interconnected systems encountered by victims and survivors of violence and abuse?
(2) What are the pathways to experiencing – and/or using – violence and abuse, and their relationship with mental health problems?
(3) What factors are protective against violence, abuse, and mental health problems across the life course, disaggregated by gender, and which could be potential targets for interventions?
Meaningful involvement of survivors and third sector organisations, with appropriate costing, had to be addressed in the application.
