Open Science: Reducing Research Waste

The first of our speakers was Professor Ioana Cristea

Ioana kicked off our three talks by discussing research waste, particularly in clinical and mental health sciences.

A key take-home message was that poor reporting of research has big knock-on effects on future research, including how biased our meta-analyses of intervention effects can be if we do not report all studies. Ioana finished with recommendations for increasing value and reducing research waste (see also her paper here).
