looking backwards, moving forward – understanding how interventions for anxiety, depression, and psychosis work

As part of Wellcome’s new mental health as a key global health challenge strategy, they are offering funding of up to £5 million pounds for research on interventions for anxiety, depression and psychosis. Find out more.

Wellcome Mental Health Data Prize

The Wellcome Data Prize in Mental Health will look at multidisciplinary collaborative approaches to researching anxiety and depression in young people.  Teams from South Africa and the UK will use existing data to build digital tools to enable future research.

The prize is open to any discipline that uses evidence in rigorous and transparent ways and is not limited to people from psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience backgrounds.

Kavli Trust Programme on Health Research

The Kavli Trust Programme on Health is looking to award up to 20 million NOK (1.7 million GBP) in funds towards research exploring evidence gaps on children’s and young people’s mental health.

The pre-proposal form is now open to applicants from Norway, Sweden, Finland or the United Kingdom.

Deadlines and key dates:

Launch of the pre-proposal form: Jan 7th 2022 / 12:00 CET

Pre-proposal deadline: Mar 15th 2022 / 23:59 CET

Invitation to the final round: May 28th  2022/ 12:00 CET

Full proposal deadline: Aug 31th 2022 / 23:59 CET
